MUCH Rebrand

It is no secret that MUCH is part of Toronto's heritage as the first specialty music channel in Canada. Back when everyone was watching the same things on TV, MUCH was shaping culture with its playful voice and bold attitude.
Since then, with the evolution of technology, the way people listen to music changed and so did the role of MUCH in the industry. While still being a disruptor brand, the content shifted from music to adult-oriented comedy and documentaries.
I had the pleasure of capturing the authentic voice of MUCH through the visual identity and graphics package I created last summer at Bell Media. The brand derives from the shape of the logo. I was inspired by MUCH’s slogan “It’s A Lot” and played with the idea of a square that keeps expanding in size. I used big, bold, repetitive typography to reinforce the concept of “a lot”.
